During the weekend, Lan Kwai’s bars are not for those seeking an intimate tete-a-tete ; raucous drinkers pack every outlet, loud music creates a carnival atmosphere and it’s not unusual to bump into the odd Elvis impersonator or street vendor selling flashing sunglasses.
